PARTNERSHIP

Within the NEAR initiative 4 organisations from Austria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia and Slovenia are cooperating together to strengthen young people’s approaches to road safety in order to prevent deaths and injuries caused by road crashes.

Zavod Varna pot / Slovenia

Varna pot is a non-governmental organization with the mission to connect the individuals that were severely affected by the consequences of traffic accidents. Together with likeminded people and experts, we combine preventive, educational and supporting activities with the final aim to reduce the number of deaths and injuries in traffic accidents. Since 2017, we are the holder and promoter of the We Live Vision ZERO program. With its preventive activities, Varna pot is targeting a wide scope of age groups and profiles: from kindergarten children, schoolchildren, young people and adults. We developed our own educational and awareness raising programmes for each of the target groups. Road crash victims represent a special group profile for Varna pot. The organisation provides different standard support activities that are free of charge for all road victims in Slovenia that wish to participate or seek help. In 2022, there are 3 people employed, with more than 40 ambassadors.
