Learning from life - strengthening skills for working with children, adolescents and parents in the event of sudden loss and serious injury
The successfully held professional seminar "Learning from life - strengthening skills for working with children, adolescents and parents in the event of sudden loss and serious injury" is behind us! Using real-life stories, expertise in psychology and safe mobility, research facts and pedagogical approaches we explored key aspects of dealing with sudden loss and serious injury (in road traffic crashes) in an educational setting.
30 participants working as educational professionals in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools also worked in groups to create a plan of action for the educational institution in the event of a road traffic crash with the most serious consequences for the pupil/student or close relatives.
Thank you all for your active participation.

Hundreds of young people participated. The workshops were carried out by educators who were trained by experts in the field of traffic.

A new prevention model in Slovenia for school and kindergarten managers and practitioners
We have developed a new prevention model for school and kindergarten managers and professionals in Slovenia. The training programme, which will be held on May 7th, is aimed at teachers, counsellors and youth workers in educational institutions to empower them to deal appropriately and support children, pupils, young people and parents in the event of sudden losses and serious injuries that can result from a road crash - traumatic experiences that lead children/young people into emotional distress.

Preventive activities for highschool students will start in Serbia
After commemorating the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims in November, we are now continuing with preventive activities. During March, we will conduct training sessions in 6 high schools in Novi Sad with students aged 17/18.
We will discuss with them the most common causes of youth casualties in road traffic accidents: speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol, mobile phone use, and failure to use seat belts.
After the training, knowledge quizzes will be conducted in each school. The culmination of the activities is a final quiz where representatives from all 6 high schools will compete. Valuable prizes will be provided for the winners of the final quiz.
